Montana Trip

Tim, Aubriana and I were privileged to tag along with Tim's parents to one of their NECA (National Electrical Contractors Association) meetings. This summer it was held at The Lodge on Whitefish Lake. It was so gorgeous there! My ideal getaway for sure. Leif, Lurlyn and little Leify were also able to come. We met up with Leif & Lur at the Spokane airport and let the boys rent their dream vehicle... the mini van. They loved it... the smoothest ride around. They really hated it. Every time we stopped for fast food, they made sure to tell whoever was handing us the food that it was a rental. LOL! Boys are so weird. Anyway, we actually stopped off in Silverwood where they have roller coasters and took some awesome rides and actually ran into Tim's older two sisters with their families. It was awesome! We got to see everyone on the trip by chance. :0)

The trip was relaxing. Lurlyn and I got facials one day with a little shopping before with my Mother-in-law. Tim and I took out the Jet Ski's the next day and tried to soak each other many many times... good fun. We later took out a boat and the jet ski's and everyone took turns having fun.

Before we flew out of Spokane we drove over to Tim's sister Tammy's house in Moses Lake, WA and hung out with her family. It was actually Tammy's birthday so we arrived just in time for ice cream cake, yum! It was great visiting with them even though it was very short. We were able to take everyone out for breakfast and visit before we left for the airport. It's great to see everyone especially when the nieces and nephews are getting older and changing so fast.

I took tons and tons of pictures of our trip so I'll share some of my favorites. You can check out the rest on my photobucket here: Whitefish Album.

Aubri and her new little friend (kinda). The little girl teased the babies with her toys and would smack them in the face if they tried to get the toy. Tim and Aubri were grabbed by the big bear in the lodge.

Us girls took a gondola ride up to the top of the mountains and it was awesome!

Great great weekend of fun. I know that was a ton of pictures to look at but if you could believe it, I took 75 pics that I love.
Oh wait... one more! haha!

Leif's catch of the day! I don't think he's gonna like this picture on the blog but it was too funny not to share.

I've Realized today...

That church will not be the same for a while. I have a very energetic baby. The past couple of Sundays, during Sacrament meeting, I've spent in the hallways. If Aubri's not squealing to the top of her lungs, she is throwing her toys aside and slapping the back of the bench or anything she can find that will make noise and trying desperately to crawl away from me. If I grab her, she starts to scream in protest and I have to quickly exit the area due to the glares I get from the older people who somehow have forgotten what it was like when they had small children.

I've realized, before I had a child of my own, that I was hard on other parents in my thinking. I would wonder why they couldn't control their child and take them out a little faster so it wouldn't disrupt others. LOL! I still think you should take your child out if they are being disruptive but sometimes it's hard to tell if you can calm them down right away with something or if they will protest even more. Am I giving you any idea of the personality my cute little girl has? She so got it from Tim. I really think its the crowd of people that gets her crazy but I'm grateful for comfortable chairs in the hallway and the fact that Relief Society is in the Chapel so I can sit at the very back and let Aubriana crawl around and leave immediately if I need to. Sunday school... well, we didn't make it to that one. Not even a bottle would help an overly tired child in a hot, crowded room of adults. Hopefully I'll get something out of the lessons next time. ;)

I couldn't resist sharing the above photo I took with my phone after I had gotten home from church. She has that look of "What Mom?" I love her to pieces!!!

We've Moved (AGAIN!)

We have been sent back to Colorado where we stayed before. This post is all about my bragging rights. The above picture is of me with our super LONG truck and our house on wheels (35 footer) after we just pulled into our site. I drove it all the way from Utah to Colorado... thru Denver traffic at 5pm and to our RV site... I let Tim park it though. I'm not good at that yet (I did try). I was very proud of myself and Tim was soooo impressed. He was driving the Jeep behind me the whole way. He called me right before we got into Denver and told me I could pull over anytime I wanted and he would drive it the rest of the way. That was sweet of him to offer but, hello, I am woman! No seriously, I wouldn't have driven it through traffic if I didn't feel confident.

Our old ward missed us! It was exciting to see everyone again and they were happy to have us back. Aubriana and I already have a play date tomorrow. Yeah!

Side note: Don't you LOVE the summer olympics?!! I do!

Happy Birthday Hubby!

Just wanted to publicly wish my hubby a Happy Birthday! I won't tell you how old he is cause once you pass 30 +2 years, people want to hide their age. So I'll keep my lips sealed ;0). Being its Sunday, we celebrated last night by going to see Batman (good movie) and we'll top it off today with his favorite, Carrot Cake (hopefully my oven won't burn it). I love you Tim! Happy Happy Birthday!

Family Visits!

Aubriana and I were lucky enough to have Lurlyn and little Leify come and play while Tim went Jeepin' in Moab with his Dad and brother Pat. It is so fun to watch the two kiddo's, who are only 6 weeks apart, interact with each other. Who knew that Aubriana was going to be really stingy with her toys already?!!! Yeah, she cried when Leify would crawl next to her or even look at her sideways if she had a toy in her hand. It was pretty funny at first but then I started to feel bad. Good thing Leify is so easy going (Isn't he ADORABLE! His eyes can melt you!).

We had fun even though it was scorching HOT! We took the the kids to The Gateway (an outside shopping place here in Salt Lake City), The Hogle Zoo, swimming, and we dragged them to craft stores of course! Below are some fun photo's I took...

Definitely not happy!

I'm outta here!

strollers are much more interesting!

Mom, baby, baby, mom! This baby giraffe was born on Nov 28th, a day after Aubriana. Thought that was pretty cool! I LOVE Giraffe's... they're so fascinating. I know I'm weird.

Can't forget the animals... bear, giraffe, ghost of the zoo and elephant.

I turn my back for 2 seconds and...

I don't know if she even got most of it in her mouth, but she sure likes blue berry muffins, my blue berry muffin... the little stinker!

Past Week In Photo's

This past week has been pretty busy in a good way. Tim is still working on his Jeep, getting it ready for Moab this weekend. I'll post photo's of that later. We received a visit from Tim's long time friend, Jason, including his wife with their 4 cute kids. They actually have a 4 month old little girl who Aubriana thought was fun to pick on. She was trying to smack her face and poke eyes and all... Had to keep my eyes on her the whole time. Aubriana loves little kids so she had fun while they were here. We took their kids to the pool and they had a blast! It was so fun to see them.

My friend Cindy came down and hung out with us for a day. I made her dinner... meatloaf, corn on the cob, and my first potato salad... I know I know... its sad. It's so time consuming but WAY worth it for the summer. I was actually craving my sister-in-law, Dana's, potato salad but she was gone to girls camp and I unfortunately had to find my recipe off of allrecipes.com. It was still pretty good and it gave me tips on how to cook the potato's and stuff. Not bad for my first time. Cindy and I took Aubriana swimming and after we all had dinner she babysat Aubriana while Tim and I went to watch the movie, "Hancock". It was really good incase you are wondering. We wanted to see the new Batman movie but it was completely sold out. Aubriana was pretty good for her first time being babysat by someone other then family. It was so fun to come home to her squealing and giggling as soon as she saw us come through the door. She definitely knows who her parents are ;)

We also hung out with Corby and Aspen and their little boy Draven, our old neighbors. They are expecting another boy at the end of November and it's always fun to see them. We are so lucky to have so many good friends.

This week will be just as busy but I'll try to update my blog when I can. We are getting very excited! While Tim, his Dad & Brother go to Moab this weekend, Aubriana and I get to play with Lurlyn and Leify. They are flying in Thursday and we can hardly wait!
