Kansas
This past weekend has been nuts to say the least. Last Thursday morning, the guys on Tim's crew decided to take Thursday and Friday off due to the rain. So, Tim working in Kansas and me still being in Colorado, he headed home. Well, he was in the Bug
on the freeway going on an overpass and hit some ice. The bug went completely sideways and hit the guard rail. Thank goodness for air bags and the fact that the Bug did not roll, which Tim thought for sure it would, had it not hit the guard rail. We are still waiting to hear from insurance but we are pretty positive that its totalled. I did not have my phone on me that morning, it was charging in our truck (can't find my wall charger). Anyway, he couldn't get a hold of me so my mother-in-law called the office of the place we were staying and had them come tell me to call Tim. There was a loud knock on the door and when I opened it, the man said, "Tim has been in an accident and you need to call him right away." My heart was in my stomache! My first thought was that something happened to him at work. I called him in tears and he was very calm and told me he needed me to go get him. Thank goodness he was only 50 miles away. I am so grateful that Tim walked away unharmed. We will truly miss that bug. It was the best car I've ever had and so thankful it was paid off.
Hehe you're funny, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
ReplyDeleteI am bummed about your bug too, it was definitley a fun car. I am so excited to see you and Aubri here in just about a week!! She is soo cute I can't wait to see her and Leify together again they will have some quality bonding time ;)
That is really cool that you got back together with the girls from your birthing class. No one really bonded in ours, everone pretty much kept to themselves. Portland isn't the friendliest town. I am enjoying this side of the river much better! ;)
Like Dorothy said in Oz ... "There's no place like home, there's no place like home!"
ReplyDeleteAnd for now home is Kansas since that's where your family (Tim & Aubriana)is. Hope it all goes well, and sorry about the Bug. We're sure glad Tim wasn't hurt. Those are scary calls to get for sure.
That's too bad about Tim in the wreck, but good that all is well otherwise. Congrats on the move, it has got to be so wonderful to be back with your husband!
ReplyDeleteYikes, I'm glad Tim walked away from the accident unharmed. Car Accidents are never fun. So sad about the Bug. I have fond memories with you in it.
ReplyDeleteKansas... Your brave, but at least you are together as a family. That is the most important part.
So we haven't really told very many people but we are having another boy. It's a good thing, we now what to do with boys.
Hope all is well, talk to you later.
