Sitting Up

Ok, being a first time mom and people saying to me, "enjoy her as much as you can cause they grow so fast." I didn't really believe them or really think about it too much. I guess you just have to find out for yourself. It amazes me all the things she is doing already. She seems to do something new everyday. Tim likes to prop her up in the corner of the chair, he's done that since she was about 1 month old. She actually likes it herself. She's very independent. The other day she decided that she was very interested in her feet and the next thing we know... she's sitting up by herself. She can't do it all the time but when she does, she looks like a big girl.

Kansas

This past weekend has been nuts to say the least. Last Thursday morning, the guys on Tim's crew decided to take Thursday and Friday off due to the rain. So, Tim working in Kansas and me still being in Colorado, he headed home. Well, he was in the Bug on the freeway going on an overpass and hit some ice. The bug went completely sideways and hit the guard rail. Thank goodness for air bags and the fact that the Bug did not roll, which Tim thought for sure it would, had it not hit the guard rail. We are still waiting to hear from insurance but we are pretty positive that its totalled. I did not have my phone on me that morning, it was charging in our truck (can't find my wall charger). Anyway, he couldn't get a hold of me so my mother-in-law called the office of the place we were staying and had them come tell me to call Tim. There was a loud knock on the door and when I opened it, the man said, "Tim has been in an accident and you need to call him right away." My heart was in my stomache! My first thought was that something happened to him at work. I called him in tears and he was very calm and told me he needed me to go get him. Thank goodness he was only 50 miles away. I am so grateful that Tim walked away unharmed. We will truly miss that bug. It was the best car I've ever had and so thankful it was paid off.

Before we took our 5th wheel to Kansas, we had an opportunity to get back together with everyone that was in our Prenatal class. It was really cool to see all the girls not prego and actually holding the babies. I remember wondering during our class what their babies will look like. Everyone was extremely nice. It was fun to compare baby/birthing stories and see what milestones our babies have reached already. There was one particular baby (Ethan) that took a liking to Aubriana. We had them on the blanket next to eachother and he kept cooing at her and smiling. I think she got her first taste of what flirting is all about. It was too cute.

Ok, now we live in Kansas. The move went really well. Our first time taking our house on a drive. Its nice that we are 3 1/2 hours out of Denver. Its not a horrible drive, just boring. Where we are staying is a lot nicer of a place then in Denver. They have 3 hot tubs... ooh la la! and a miniature golf course and there aren't a bunch of people staying here. When I look out my window, I see miles and miles of brown grass. I guess they have a huge harvest of wheat here. There really isn't much out here, but we have a Super Walmart near by. It's the cleanest, nicest Walmart I've ever been in. I'm just glad I'm with my Hubby again even though I go pretty much all day without seeing him. The real negative about Kansas is the wind. It blows like crazy here. I've already had chapped lips because of it. Well, fingers crossed I don't wind up like Dorothy and Toto.

New Thing

Ok, first it was the spitting/farting noises with her mouth. Then it was the thumb sucking. Now its this nose scrunch sniffing thing. I don't quite know how to describe it so I got it on video. She cracks me up!

Missing Hubs

So Tim is currently working in Kansas. He is about 3 hours away from me and working about 13 hours a day. We were going to move our 5th wheel (house on wheels) out to Kansas last weekend but with Conference being on and Tim being pretty exhausted, we decided to wait until this coming weekend. After being together for over 3 weeks, 24/7... I'm missin him :(. Because he works so hard and loves what he does, I'm dedicating this post to him. Here are few pictures of Tim in action. These pics were taken last year at the lineman rodeo in Grand Junction, CO. It amazes me to watch him. I love him!

Starting to climb the pole for one event. It's amazing to watch them climb. They look like monkeys and they climb pretty fast!

At the top of the pole changing out... um... I have no idea but it looks cool! ;)

This is an event where they have to rescue a dummy at the top of the pole. This is to help them train on how to save a co-worker who has been electrocuted. This is a timed event. I actually saw a guy fall off the pole trying to do this event.

I thought this was a cool picture to take. I don't think Tim is in this one, I just took it cause there was a guy on almost every pole.

Blanket

I had to share a picture of the blanket that Aunt Lurlyn made for Aubriana. Lurlyn brought it with her when she came to visit this weekend. It is sooooo cute! The pictures don't really do it justice but it has sock monkeys all over it! The blanket actually helps keep her occupied a little longer on her tummy cause she likes to play with the frayed fabric. Its very helpful for me considering the fact that Aubriana hates to be on her tummy. Just makes it all the easier.

Share the knowledge!
